Our Team

Ganghyun Je

I am Ganghyun Je, a highly motivated team leader and Technological & Systems Management sophomore at the State University of New York, Korea.

With a deep passion for environmental sustainability, I was inspired to explore this field further during my participation in geology lectures at SUNY Korea. As a result, I have cultivated an unwavering commitment to ensuring the wellness of our environment.

When I'm not busy leading my team toward success, you can find me indulging in my hobbies, such as playing chess or engaging in various sports.

As the team leader, I played a pivotal role in developing our project, specifically in designing and creating the website, as well as outlining and illustrating the final product. I also devoted many hours rigorously researching the topic at hand, consulting various reputable sources, and analyzing data to ensure that our project was backed by the latest and most accurate information available. This allowed us to deliver a comprehensive and well-informed final product that we are proud to share with our peers and the wider community. Furthermore, by laying the foundation for the website, I enabled my group members to focus on their respective tasks, ultimately creating a quality final product.

My primary goal for this project was to raise awareness about the crucial role that water plays in our daily lives and to emphasize the importance of environmental preservation. I am confident that our team's efforts will help others recognize the essence of our environment and inspire them to take meaningful action toward its protection.

Denis Truong

My name is Denis Truong, an international student from Germany. I enrolled at SUNY Korea in 2022 Spring making me a sophomore at TSM, with a specialization in Computer Science.

In my free time, I liked to hang out with my friends and travel around exploring nature untouched by humans. Other hobbies include playing chess, sleeping, and I also enjoy making food for my family when I am in Germany.

I participated in this project and was in charge of communication and dividing parts. I also took part in researching the topic and making it into an important summary for the more reasonable flow of the project. My personal goal for this project is for people to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of climate change on our planet and to recognize the urgent need for action. That is because I want the following generations to be able to witness the beauty of unpolluted nature. By raising awareness and promoting discussion around this important issue, I hope to inspire individuals to take meaningful steps toward a more sustainable future.

Yeonwoo Kang

Seungho Woo

I am Yeonwoo Kang, majoring in technological and Systems Management, a first semester as a freshman in Suny Korea.

During my free time, I enjoy going to the cinema and watching movies. Currently, I went to the cinema and watched Suzume. Like this movie, I like animation and also enjoy thriller movies. Therefore, at SUNY KOREA, I am currently joining the movie club. After watching a movie, we get a chance to talk about the moral of the story, and by talking with my members I get to understand the story more and grow my thinking abilities.

I actively participated in a comprehensive research project focusing on investigating the multifaceted effects of climate change on bodies of water. Throughout the project, my primary role revolved around conducting extensive research, delving deep into the various aspects and intricacies of this pressing issue. I devoted considerable time and effort to gathering and analyzing data, reviewing scientific literature, and examining case studies from diverse geographical regions. By actively engaging in this research endeavor, I aimed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the impacts of climate change on bodies of water and contribute valuable insights to the project.

I am Seungho Woo, majoring in Technological and Systems Management, second semester as freshman in SUNY Korea.

During my free time, I enjoy playing sports, especially basketball, badminton, and bowling. I usually like to learn about cultures from other countries by reading books or experiencing them. At SUNY Korea, I can easily access other cultures due to various students. Furthermore, I enjoy watching movies, reading books, and listening to music. The movie that I like most is "LaLaland."

I participated in this project, and I mainly took part in enhancing communication more fluently through teammates,  dividing and allocating the parts with teammate's interested fields and searching and summarizing the sources, and discussed for the topic. Additionally, took part in research for sources about problems, solving, and expected results. My personal goal for this project is to make people realize the impact of climate change that affect our life and our environment. Since young, I always enjoyed going to aquariums to see the manifold marine life. Due to this reason, I hope people give their attention to the sea creatures and our life that are affected by climate change. Through this, I hope people raise their attention and awareness of the changing climate, most notably in the waters.
